PHILANTHROPY:
Better Brooklyn Community Center (BBCC) is
dedicated to helping those in need who live,
work or go to school in Brooklyn, primarily
the lower income areas, and to improving the
quality of life for all individuals and
families in its community.
The BBCC defines need broadly to include
economic, social, emotional and physical need,
but gives priority to those in economic need.
The Brooklyn Center's objective is to help
people gain the skills needed to strengthen
themselves and their community.
Programs offered by BBCC include:
After-School Tutorial Program
Mentoring
Summer Enrichment Camp
Summer Youth Employment Camp
Adult Education
Immigration Services
Work Force Development
Prevention Support Center
The Willi*B SummArts Festivale is
proud to support this invaluable community
organization. A portion of the proceeds of
each ticket sold will go to the BBCC.
Additionally, the organization will receive
all proceeds from a raffle at the festival,
with local businesses and musicians on the
festival line-up providing the prizes. We will
also feature artwork, dance and theater that
the kids from their Summer Enrichment Camp
have been working this year. You may just
witness the next Ge-ology, Haale, or Jeannie
Hopper in their artistic infancy...
There are many more services provided to the
community by the BBCC. If you are interested
in finding out more information about
volunteering, donating, or simply knowing more
about this fantastic organization, please
visit their website.
